Scholastic Book Fair

Every fall, McCarter holds a Scholastic Book Fair in order to get more books in the hands of McCarter students and to raise money to buy books for the library. This event always draws a big crowd and is a hit with students and parents alike. The book fair contains many of the most popular children's series today (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Magic Tree House, Lego Ninjago, Dork Diaries), along with stand-alone novels, picture books, holiday books, award-winners, nonfiction, activity kits, books in Spanish, and books for adults. Trinkets such as erasers, bookmarks, special pens and pencils, and other small toys are also available.

This year's book fair will be held October 18-24, 2013 in the McCarter library. Students will be allowed to shop at the book fair this week during their library time (Friday classes will shop at the book fair on October 18 since there is no school on the 25th).  Please be sure to send cash with your student if you'd like them to shop during their library time. Students who do not bring money with them during their class's book fair day will still get to browse the fair and make a list of books they think the library should buy. The book fair will also be open during and after parent-teacher conferences on October 23 and 24 so please be sure to stop by!
